Report a violation

Please remember that a violation of the law for the purposes of whistleblower protection laws is not any breach of the law, but only a violation as defined by the Whistleblowing Policy and whistleblower protection laws (reportable violation of law).

In general, reportable violations of the law in terms of whistleblower protection laws are those relating to the following areas:

(i) public procurement;

(ii) financial services, products and markets, and prevention of money laundering and terrorist financing;

(iii) product safety and compliance;

(iv) transportation safety;

(v) environmental protection;

(vi) radiological protection and nuclear safety;

(vii) food and feed safety, animal health and welfare;

(viii) public health;

(ix) consumer protection;

(x) privacy and data protection and security of networks and information systems;

(xi) violations affecting the financial interests of a country or the European Union,

(xii) the internal market of the European Union, including public law competition and state aid rules and corporate taxation.

A person reporting a violation of law shall enjoy legal protection as a whistleblower only if:

1) the report relates to any of the reportable violations of law identified in the Whistleblowing Policy and whistleblower protection laws, and

2) he or she has reasonable grounds to believe that the information being reported is true at the time of reporting.

We are committed to protecting whistleblowers submitting reportable violations of law in terms of whistleblower protection laws. We do not tolerate pressure on whistleblowers or discrimination against them. For the person concerned, on the other hand, the presumption of innocence applies as long as he or she has not been convicted of a violation.
